Description of assignment: Create a comic that explains, both physical and chemical changes.
Which 21st Century Skill do you feel this assignment addresses, and why? Self-directional skills, because we directed ourselves have to choose how we wanted to demonstrate creatively. What are you most proud of from this assignment, and why? I'm most proud of my artwork, I put time and effort into it so that it can look nice and neat, and full of color. How did you develop and/or improve upon your 21st Century Skill with this assignment? I self-directed myself on what to do, normally I would go online and find inspiration and would never think on my own since I couldn't find anything, I had to think of something on my own, and which the idea was silly, but I was able to use self directional skills, to direct myself on how I wanted to do this project. What was most difficult about completing this task? Trying to fit everything into the panels, the panels were so small, and I couldn't fit everything in, I wanted to make the story long, however, I couldn't because I thought it would be too much. The hardest thing to do was to see how I wanted to explain the difference in a story. |
How could you improve this work? If you could start over, what would you do differently? I definitely would choose a better story, the story I had didn't seem very "educational", at the time I thought it would be funny, however now that I think about it, it doesn't really have anything to do with the topic.
How does this relate to what you have learned in the past? We had a similar project in 8th grade, I don't quite remember, we did a comic about the process of cells. How can you apply this to future learning? I can use my comic to teach maybe younger people, the difference between chemical and physical change, in hopes they will have a good understanding in a simple and fun way. |
