There hasn't been a specific project for the Senior Seminar, but on this page, I will explain the progress of my project to far from the beginning of August up until now, the end of October beginning of November. My Senior Project is to work with the Hawaii DOE to help develop a program here at KCS which is the STAMP Test which stands for Standards-based Measurement of Proficiency. This is a language test that students can take to determine their level of proficiency in over 79+ languages, if you pass a certain requirement for 4 main subjects: Writing, Speaking, Reading, and Listening, you can earn the Seal of Biliteracy which is recognized nationally and can even earn students scholarships and language college credit. I believe this project best suits my Global Awareness Skills since I'm trying to get as many seniors as possible to be aware of the importance of being bilingual in this country or in any country, in whatever language they choose they can communicate with part of the world. Not only does this benefit that individual as a whole, but the many others who can receive that help. The only improvement I need is to get the word out to people who are interested in registering soon since it was my mistake to send out an email so late.
