The STAMP biliteracy test is in multiple languages. It is a test that tests the level of proficiency in your chosen language in listening, writing, speaking and reading. If you pass all four you receive the Seal of Biliteracy awarded by the state or school, which is then recognized throughout all the U.S. Afterwards you can apply for the Global Seal of Biliteracy which is universal.

Driving Question: How can bilingual students at KCS use their privilege of being bilingual?
Being able to speak more than one language is a valuable asset that can open up many doors in an individual's life. A Seal of Biliteracy can be a powerful tool to earn college credit, apply for a scholarship or study abroad program, access greater career opportunities, and qualify for pay differentials. The State Seal of Biliteracy (SSB), marked by a gold seal on the diploma or transcript, recognizes high school graduates who have attained a high level of proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing one or more languages in addition to English. |
Most people know and understand the importance of being bilingual, trilingual, polyglot, etc. However most workplaces, schools, etc fail to recognize this importance. After researching and seeing other people take this test, I saw the opportunity of the STAMP test which awards certificate for officially being bilingual and most colleges and workplaces recognize this certification. I hope with this project there can be as many as students at KCS who can benefit from this.
