Like for many of my classes this semester so far, I haven't had a grand project for Spanish yet. In this class, we have been focusing a lot on the book that we are reading which is called 'Felipe Alou Desde Los Valles a las Montañas'. Which is a biography about a famous Dominican baseball player in the 60s named Felipe Alou. We haven't finished the book but so far it talks about his life in the Dominican Republic under dictator rule how he's selected for the National team and plays in the Pan American games, to how he gets a deal with the San Francisco Giants. This book is in Spanish which requires us to use our communication skills, because we are still taking steps to read better in Spanish, we have partners and do volleyball reading, which we read back and forward in Spanish and translate for each other. Most of the time we end up working on a worksheet altogether. With partners, we have a better understanding of the book and we build a stronger bond with each other since we sometimes switch up partners.
